In Franciscan simplicity and joy, we serve the poor,
work to enable the neglected and oppressed, respond to the needs of
our times, and strive to be instruments of justice and peace.
The Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement
are a missionary congregation of women who share life in the vows of
poverty, chastity, and obedience within a context of community. We share
common apostolic goals, remembering our Foundress Lurana White who said,
"Let us have many missions small and poor, but rich in love of
God, one another and all people."
We
are involved in religious education, social welfare
and community development programs, health care, pastoral, hospital
and prison ministries, home visitation, adult day care, child day care
and kindergartens, youth ministry, justice and peace work, and guest
and retreat house ministries.
In all of our life and ministry we are devoted to seeking unity of all
God’s people in the ecumenical spirit of the Church.
"That all may be one: That the World
May Believe. "
